Welcome Back
Term Four
Room Four, Year Two and Three.
Welcome back to all for our final term of this year. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.
I really enjoyed coming back to the classroom to see the wonderful work produced by the students and Miss Hutchinson whilst I was away.
Our theme for this term is the History of Australia. Last term we looked at the history of the local Noongar people and the part the aboriginal people played in shaping Australia. This term we will be learning about our history from the First British Fleet and its arrival in Sydney. We will be looking at that settlement and some of the events following which shaped the Australia we know today.
In Science, we will be learning a little more about plants. We have some wonderful plants in our thriving vegetable garden and we shall be examining them closely - very closely. Yum.
Each fortnight we will continue to produce our classroom newspaper, the Monday Times. In it you will find all the latest events, both in our class and around the school.
I look forward to using the new Smart board and trialling all the exciting new learning experiences it brings.
