Students in the Year 4 / 5 class received a special visitor last week --- Senator the Hon Helen Coonan, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts and Deputy Leader of the Government in the Senate.
Ms Coonan was investigating how we use technology at
Orange Grove Primary to improve student learning. She
was particularly impressed by our podcast, and even agreed
to be interviewed for the show. Steele and Phoebe both did a
superb job as interviewers. Perhaps a future in the media
beckons!
Ms Coonan was accompanied by the local member for Hasluck, Mr Stuart Henry. Mr Henry is a strong supporter of our school, and was interviewed late last year in Episode 10 of our podcast.
Albert the Bear loves to go on adventures. During this year, all of the children in Room 3 will get the chance to take Albert home, take photographs and write about his adventures.
Naturally, Albert has a website where his adventures will be shared with a worldwide audience! Be sure to visit www.albertthebear.com and see what Albert is getting up to!
