Orange Grove Primary School

The annual OGPS Talent Quest was held on the last Thursday of term and the overall winners were announced the next day at assembly.Our school was entertained by a dazzling array of entertainers who came from Pre Primary right through to year 7.The show was expertly run by Brett and Jessica who demonstrated great style. Trent, Zoe and Corey were very entertaining and professional in their roles as judges.The overall junior winner was Jessalyn, and Mathew and Klara drew for equal 1st senior school winners.Congratulations to every child who particpated.

This term, we will continue our whole-school focus on Literacy. I will be working in all classrooms for a certain amount of time each week.  During this time, the classroom teacher and myself either: team-teach together, take small groups to focus on a particular aspect of Writing or Reading or assist in providing engaging enrichment programmes.

The Years 1-7 will be choosing Accelerated Reader books during their library session each week. We are encouraging the children to choose books at an appropriate level which will enable them to take quizzes successfully.  Unfortunately there are not enough books at present for the Years 1-3. 

Please remember to bring your library books and bag each library session.
