National Water Week

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/images/DSC01907%20%28Small%29-thumb.JPGHave you ever used tissues when you've run out of toilet paper? Think again before you do this. As part of our National Water Week activities the Pre-Primaries did an experiment to see which breaks down more readily in water, tissues or toilet paper. We thought it wouldn't make much difference and were surprised to see that the tissues took much longer to break apart, whereas the toilet paper dissolved quite quickly. This means that using toilet paper is much better for our drains and wastewater systems and helps our environment.
