Orange Grove Primary School

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to attend a Community Morning Tea where I met the Prime Minister of Australia. Our Head Boy and Girl, Brandon and Jessica, were two of the many guests who attended the function at the City of Gosnells. It was interesting to note the wide cross section of people who represented the progressive City of Gosnells lead by the Mayor, Pat Morris. Congratulations to Brandon and Jessica for representing our school in a very commendable manner.

Third term is shaping up to be an exciting one for both students and staff. I am pleased to announce that Paul Fuller has been selected as a winner in Round 1 of the 2006 Premier's Teacher of the Year Award. Paul is one of 52 teachers and lecturers selected as round winners from all TAFEWA colleges and public schools throughout WA. Our successes do not stop there, David, one of our Year 7 students has been accepted into the Flight Program at Kent Street SHS. He was chosen from many applications because his performance was very competitive. Congratulations to Paul and David.
