Grandparents Day
On Thursday 26th of October, the students of Orange Grove invited their Grandparents to an Open Day to celebrate Education Week. This was a wonderful opportunity to highlight the important role that Grandparents play in the education of their grandchildren. The children learn many important values from them, such as care and compassion, respect and responsibility which we also teach in our school.
The children proudly ushered their important visitors, not only around their classroom, but around the rest of the school. They were impressed by what they saw and remarked on how children learn differently now and commented on the exciting changes that have occurred in technology.
This inaugural event, linking the past with the future was so successful that we will make it an annual celebration for the whole community.
