Including Others

Hi my name is Amelia. We will be talking about including others.

Tayla will talk about kindness and all other ways to look after one another. Corey will talk about being friendly and listening. Please listen to what they say.

Please be kind to people around you. Even if you don’t like them, please still be kind.

Please look after people and friends because they can get hurt. You don’t have to punch people to hurt them you can say things that hurt people.

Being friendly is looking out for your friends, welcoming visitors, giving people presents and many other kind things.

Being friendly is not just being kind. It’s everything.

Talking is helpful sometimes, like for instance if you have a problem you can go to someone and talk about it.

Please look after your friends. Keep an eye out of your friends because people can get hurt.

We hope you learnt to be kind to other people and remember work together to make this a bully free school.

Dolphin report

People who helped make this segment are, Paige, Trent, Corinne and me Christine. Page will be talking about our subject dolphins, there life and facts. Trent will be talking about their predators and their dangers in the ocean. Corrine will be talking about how to look after a dolphins. I will be talking about their food.

The dolphins eat different species of fish. They are known to swallow their food whole.

Dolphins get killed and tortured by men. Men and sharks are killing them. Dusky sharks tiger sharks and bull sharks are there main predators. Sewage is their worst killer. Some people catch them in nets and cut off their fins and then dump their bodies in the water to bleed to death. Jetties can drown there habitats.

Please don’t kill the dolphins. They rule!!

Hi there. I’m Corinne and I’m here to talk about all the different ways we can help dolphins from being in danger.

Dolphins get caught in fishing nets so a way you can help them is by staying away from their habitat. Dolphins are affectionate creatures. You can go see them in deep waters. Just don’t hurt or scare them.

Killer sharks are on the dolphins enemy List. Some dolphins are brutally killed by killer whales. Sometimes killer sharks harm a dolphin by biting them. But we can’t help that, so lets make them like us humans. If you adopt a dolphin you pay at least 30 or 60 dollars a month. Paige is next. Take it away Paige.

Dolphins live to about 48 years They sometimes don’t even live to see their mums. Sometimes their babies get hunted and killed. They normally have a baby once a year. Sometimes they can’t find food so they die. Dolphins are getting extinct. They have a really hard life so don’t make it harder.

Now we are going to tell you some facts. They’re beautiful and flexible. They’re beautiful creatures. They’re really smart and intelligent.

Wrestling Report

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/room_3/images/WdWr-logo2003-thumb.jpgThis is the WWE wrestling section for the Year 4 / 5 podcast. Our hosts are Tyrin, Scott, Matthew B and Brandan.

Sometimes wrestling is real. Sometimes its not real. If something goes wrong in the WWE, they can break their legs, arms and backs. Some of the names are fake and rude. Some of the blood is real.

The rules are submission, tap, sleeper and KO.

Tap is when they give up or just can’t take it any more. The way they tap out is to tap their hand on the ground three times and the other player wins.

Sleeper is when they lock their arms and push their head really hard until the other player falls asleep.

Pin, or pinfall, means to hurt them really badly then throw them to the ground and lay on them. You don’t let them get off for three seconds.

KO means to hurt them really badly and throw them to the ground and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10… KO!! KO means ‘knock out’

Our favourite wrestler is Kurt Angle. The names of some of our favourite wrestlers are the Boogie Man, Big Show, John Cena, Undertaker, Batista, Mysterio, Triple H and Hulk Hogan.

We like Kurt Angle because, first of all, Kurt Angle has the world heavy-weight championship belt and he’s strong. Our favourite move is the angle slam.

The WWE has main events like Wrestlemania, No Way Out, Taboo Tuesday, Royal Rumble, No Mercy, Masterlock Challenge, New Year’s Revolution, SummerSlam, Backlash and others.

Our favourite event is Royal Rumble because 30 wrestling men come in and they all have to throw each other out of the ring. Ray Mysterio won the last Royal Rumble.

Pancake Day

We had a pancake stall, and it was a giant success. We did this on the 28th of February at recess. We also did a "Guess Who" competition.

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/room_3/images/pancake_mixture-thumb.jpgOn Monday afternoon, the Year 4 / 5 students made the batter for their pancake stall. The ingredients were baking soda, oil, butter, milk, flour, sugar, salt, food colouring and more. Each group made batter for at least ten pancakes.

Two ladies named Deb and Kathy helped us. Kathy is the Mum of a Grade 4 girl named Sara. Deb is the Mum of a Grade 5 girl named Christine. They helped make pancake day happpen.

Our pancake stall was such a success. People came back for doubles. People loved our pancakes with the sugar, butter and syrup. There was a giant queue for our delicious coloured pancakes.

We raised over $60 for Lea (our World Vision child). We had raised $110 but it cost $50 for the prize and ingredients for the pancakes. We hope the money will buy Lea a set of clothes and some food.
