OGPS Clean Up Day

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/images/Clean%20Up%20Day%2010%20March%20003%20%28Small%29-thumb.jpgOn Friday, just after the Australian Clean Up Day, OGPS had their own Clean Up Day. Each class selected their own area to clean up. Armed with gloves and bags we set off to scour the school and rid it of any rubbish. We had to look quite hard as there wasn’t that much rubbish to be found, thanks to our environmentally conscious children. Emilie found the most valuable piece of rubbish in the form of a pair of gold spectacles. They were gratefully claimed.

After we had finished picking up the rubbish we sorted it into groups. The Year 2/3 class made some impressive graphs of what we had collected. Congratulations to the “Cleaners”; they did a great job.

Writing in the Year 2 / 3 Class

On Mondays We Write.http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/images/write-thumb.gif
On Monday the children in the year 2/3 class write. We write a new story every week but need help to make our stories more interesting. If you could come and listen to us we would really like that.

Some people help by asking us to tell them more. Others help us to find words on the Word Wall or dictionary. If you would like to take part it is not very hard and we love to have people come in to help us.

We write from 9.30 to 12.20 am. Please come in and share our experiences.
