The Great Escape

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/images/wear%20orange%20to%20work%20029%20%28WinCE%29-thumb.jpgAs part of their studies in Fire Safety the children in years one to three took part in the Great Escape. They learned about fire safety in the home and what to do in case of a fire. During the day each class tried the Great Escape Game where each group tried to ‘escape’ through the maze representing doors and windows of the house. We had great fun and learned quite a lot about fire.

Wear Orange To Work

http://www.ogps.wa.edu.au/images/wear%20orange%20to%20work%20051%20%28WinCE%29-thumb.jpgOn Wednesday November the 8th students participated in a ‘Wear Orange To Work’ day. This activity was to highlight the wonderful work done by the State Emergency Service and the Fire and Emergency Services. If you ever need to be rescued from a dangerous place, have children lost in the bush found, need emergency repairs to your home due to storm damage, be evacuated in times of danger or just need information, the volunteer men and women at the SES are there to help you. So a BIG THANK YOU to the SES and FESA. We hope we never need you but it is reassuring to know that you are there.
