Physical Education helps every student develop movement skills, teamwork, resilience and healthy habits for life.

Students participate in weekly Physical Education lessons designed to build capability in movement and physical activity. Lessons are inclusive, practical and focused on helping students experience success while learning to work safely and respectfully with others.

Learning Through Movement

A clear pathway from early skills to game play

Learning develops progressively so students can apply movement, communication and decision-making skills with growing confidence.

Kindergarten to Year 2

Fundamental movement skills

Junior students develop running, jumping, balancing, throwing and catching while learning awareness of self, space and others.

Years 3 to 6

Game-based learning

Older students apply movement skills in games and sports while strengthening tactical understanding, fair play and participation.

Personal Development

Skills beyond sport

Lessons build communication, teamwork, self-management, perseverance and respectful participation in group activities.

Annual Programs

Swimming, athletics and school carnivals

Swimming and athletics are covered annually from Pre-primary to Year 6. These programs help students develop technique, confidence, safety awareness and enjoyment in physical activity.

Students also prepare for inter-house and inter-school carnivals, where participation, sportsmanship and team spirit are strongly encouraged.
